EICF Academy 2024
REMET UK were delighted to be invited to present at the 2nd EICF Investment Casting Manufacturing Technology Course in Brno on the 9th of September 2024. This one-week course held in English is designed for postgraduate bachelors and engineers and workers from industry and R&D who wish to improve their knowledge in the field of investment casting technology. The course is held within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology, with various industry visits in the locality also organised.
The course is organized with experienced lecturers and specialists in IC technology with the support of industrial partners. The course combines both educational lectures and practical exercises, and the program is extended by excursions to production plants.
REMET UK’s Group Technical Director Gavin Dooley was present to deliver a presentation on the key topic of wax test methods. He gave an overview of:
- What is on an incoming wax test certificate
- How the various different tests are carried out
- What to look for in your wax room to work with your supplier to improve process control.
