REMET Art Prize Winner Announced
REMET UK in partnership with Kingston School of Art and AB Foundry, ran an art competition for the students. They were tasked with producing a small cast bronze artwork that would showcase the investment casting method.
Over 50 entries were submitted, from which a shortlist of 8 were selected to produce their pieces. The pattern work was done in the workshops at the Kingston School of Art, once these were complete the students shelled and cast the pieces at AB Foundry.
The finished entries were then displayed in a show at the Stanley Picker Gallery, where a panel of judges selected Caitlin Reilly and her “Yorkshire Puddings” as the winning piece.
Case Study: Eliminating Chills with Soluble Wax
In our latest case study, we demonstrate how SOLUCORE® Plus J23™ can eliminate the need to use chills in patterns, particularly when working with thick sections that may sink.
Environmental Benefits of Pattern Wash
REMET is committed to protecting the environment, and through our range of products we offer foundries materials and technologies so that they can reduce their environmental impact.
The second article in our series about the environmental benefits that our products offer to a foundry focuses on pattern washes.
