Water Soluble, Sticky, Extruded, Dipseal and Patching Wax

Remet supplies specialty casting waxes to perform a number of specific tasks within the investment casting process.

Uniquely formulated, our specialty waxes perform the following tasks:

  • Water Soluble Wax – SOLUCORE® – achieves a greater level of complexity in the pattern making process
  • Sticky Wax – STICKTITE® – casting waxes able to bond patterns to runner/sprue systems in the wax assembly process
  • Extruded Wax – RED C® – shaped wax extrusions which allow the investment caster to design and build flexible wax assembly systems.
  • Over Dipping Wax – DIPSEAL® – for the coating of a wax assembly offering improved primary coat adhesion
  • Patching Wax, REMET offers versatile blends that are both soluble and non-soluble in water that aid the investment caster in the repairing of defects in patterns, wax assemblies and soluble cores.

  • SOLUCORE®

    Water Soluble Wax

    SOLUCORE® waxes are able to produce cavities of a far greater complexity than can be achieved through tool design alone.

    Remet’s soluble waxes have been designed to allow users to achieve a high level of detail, negating the need to invest in preformed ceramic cores.

    Blends of soluble wax can be highly sophisticated compounds, which are able to be tailored to the needs of the investment caster. Through Remet’s expert knowledge, users can control and monitor a soluble wax’s properties leading to improvements in the injection, handling and leaching times. The SOLUCORE range of water soluble waxes are made up of both fibrous and non-fibrous materials, which are suitable for making patterns requiring both small and delicate cores, as well as, large and chunky cores.

  • STICKTITE®

    Sticky Casting Wax

    STICKTITE® waxes have been designed specifically as a sticky wax for use in the assembly of sprue/pattern trees prior to the shell forming process. These materials have low odour and smoke and impart exceptionally high adhesive and cohesive strength to the sprue/pattern joint. The differing formulations offer the choice off set up and solidification times.

    Remet’s STICKTITE waxes can be used as an adhesive between wax and wax, or sticking ceramic to wax (for instance pouring cups and rings). We are able to specify criteria such as opening times to ensure that the investment caster has the time they require for positioning and correcting parts during assembly.

  • RED C® Extrusions

    Extruded Wax

    Remet RED C® Wax Extrusions are designed to be soft, pliable and strong shapes which allow the investment caster to design a flexible assembly system that is not restricted to conventional method. These wax extrusions can be shaped without fear of cracking or breaking.

    RED C® Extrusions are offered in a range of shapes:

    Remet Reclaim Wax Extrusions are designed as a commercial grade of wax extrusion. With several variations available, these extrusions range from rigid to flexibile that allows gating engineers the ability to design and assemble their gating systems to their needs.

  • DIPSEAL®

    Over Dipping Wax

    DIPSEAL® waxes are low viscosity blends designed to be used as an overdipping wax for coating runner/pattern assemblies. They can be used for blending out imperfections and as a low melt point surface wax.

    Other similar products used specifically for the Artisan industry are:

    • Premiere Sealing Wax
    • Beeswax

    Key product features:

    • Low Drop Melt Point allows flow to start quickly and permits safe expansion of the pattern wax.
    • Low viscosity allows rapid evacuation during dewaxing.
    • Low ash minimizes metal mold reaction.
    • Good primary slurry coat adhesion.

  • Patching & Utility Wax

    Investment Casting Patching & Utility Wax

    Remet supplies a versatile range of soft, pliable waxes that can aid the investment caster in repairing defects in wax patterns, assemblies and soluble cores.

    SOLUCORE® patching wax has been developed as a water soluble repair wax to repair and remove imperfections of soluble cores in wax patterns.

    Remet’s non-soluble patching waxes, can be warmed in the hand to soften for patching applications or can be melted and applied in the liquid state.

    We also supply utility casting waxes, which are versatile blends to be used also for repairs, as well as, the assembly of pattern segments and other tasks required by the investment caster. Remet Utility waxes are supplied in both slab and sheet forms. Sheets are available in 1/8”, 1/4″, and 3/8” thicknesses.
